Note (remove before launch): NIT is still being issued as part of the company's incorporation (Cámara de Comercio del Oriente Antioqueño) — replace [NIT] once assigned.

1. Who we are

Mi Casa Col ("Mi Casa", "we", "us") operates the website micasacol.com, an online marketplace connecting Colombian sellers with buyers, primarily the Colombian diaspora abroad. Mi Casa is operated by Mi Casa Oriente S.A.S., a Sociedad por Acciones Simplificada domiciled in Oriente Antioqueño, Antioquia, Colombia, NIT [NIT — pending assignment]. Legal representative: Santiago Salazar Monsalve. Contact: venta@micasacol.com.

2. What we sell

Mi Casa sells traditional Colombian food products (candy, snacks, coffee, panela) and other Colombian goods, sold either directly by Mi Casa or by independent third-party sellers on our marketplace. Product descriptions, prices, and availability are as shown at checkout and may change without notice.

3. Orders and payment

Orders are placed through our checkout, processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. An order is confirmed only once payment has been successfully captured; you will receive a confirmation once that happens. Prices are shown in [CURRENCY — e.g. EUR] and include applicable VAT where required by law.

4. Shipping, customs, and import duties

Many products ship internationally from Colombia. Typical delivery time is approximately 10–14 days, though this can vary with customs processing. By ordering, you acknowledge that:

  • Your order may be subject to import customs duties and VAT in your destination country, collected either at checkout (where we use IOSS or a similar scheme) or on delivery by the customs authority/courier.
  • Certain products may be inspected, delayed, or in rare cases refused entry by customs authorities in your country, particularly for food products of animal origin (e.g. items containing dairy or egg). We take reasonable care in product selection, but cannot guarantee customs clearance in every jurisdiction.
  • Accurate shipping and contact information is your responsibility.

5. Cancellations and your right to withdraw

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from your purchase under applicable distance-selling law. Because our products are perishable/food items, this right may not apply once the seal on a food product has been broken, or once the order has already shipped, to the extent permitted by law. See our Refunds & Returns Policy for details.

6. Marketplace sellers

Some products are sold by independent sellers using our platform, not by Mi Casa directly. Mi Casa facilitates the sale, payment, and (for the current launch) fulfilment logistics, but each seller is responsible for the accuracy of their own listings.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mi Casa is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for death, personal injury, or fraud).

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence (e.g. EU/UK distance-selling rights) that cannot be limited by contract.
